Bharat VECTO
- Bharat VECTO development project was formally launched by Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari on 17th January 2025 during Bharat Global Mobility Expo at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
- The project was officially kicked off on 19th March 2025 at ARAI in the presence of officials from MoRTH, MHI, ARAI, SIAM, and OEMs.
- A consortium has been formed with participation from MoRTH, BEE, MHI, SIAM, ARAI, and OEMs.
- Bharat VECTO development has also commenced with support from the Joint Research Centre (JRC), European Commission.
- The draft notification for Bharat VECTO has been submitted to MoRTH.
- Bharat VECTO for diesel vehicles is planned to be released by the end of December 2026.
- Phase II will focus on EV range calculations.
