Background Objective
The Certificate Program on Li-ion Cell, Battery & BMS Testing is a focused, industry-aligned training designed to provide participants with comprehensive technical knowledge of lithium-ion battery systems used in electric
vehicles. This two-day intensive program covers the fundamentals of lithium-ion cell chemistry, battery construction, and performance characteristics, along with detailed insights into battery testing methodologies and applicable standards. Participants will gain hands-on understanding of advanced testing techniques, including thermal characterization using adiabatic calorimetry and analysis of thermal runaway behaviour in lithium-ion cells. The program also emphasizes the fundamentals and real-world applications of Battery Management Systems (BMS), including safety analysis in accordance with ISO 26262 and battery thermal management strategies. Through a combination of expert sessions and an advanced battery testing lab visit, attendees will be exposed to practical testing environments, diagnostic approaches, and industry best practices. By the end of the program, participants will have a strong foundation in lithium-ion battery technologies, safety considerations, and testing procedures essential for electric vehicle applications.
