Proficiency Improvement Program
Proficiency Improvement Program (PIP)
ARAI Academy has devised various Proficiency Improvement Programs (PIPs). It gives engineers, faculty and students knowledge and technical expertise in a wide range of automotive disciplines. It helps in understanding systems view point for automotive design and manufacture, with specific skills in formulating automotive engineering solution in terms of their function and performance, through optional modules. Domain Training Programs (DTPs), where training is imparted at Customer's site are also becoming more popular. Academy is developing high quality e-learning modules called “ePIPs” on various Automobile Engineering subjects. These highly interactive e-Modules hosted on ARAI’s own Learning Management System (LMS) https://elearning.araiindia.com/ help users access these courses anytime & anywhere. With this, ARAI Academy has become global with 360 blended training approach.
- It offers 30+ training programs
- More than 1400 delegates are trained per year
Upcoming Programs(2)
2 Day Certificate Programme on “High Voltage Safety for EV’s”
Background Objective
ARAI, through its Academy, has arranged a Training Program on High Voltage Safety for Electric Vehicles, aimed at providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of electric vehicle (EV) systems, with a strong
focus on high voltage (HV) safety, system architecture, and performance. The program familiarizes participants with various EV sub-systems such as HV electric motors, motor drives, and HV battery systems with Battery Management Systems (BMS), along with the associated risks and safety considerations. It also covers HV system architecture, component integration, energy flow, and key factors affecting system performance. Emphasis is placed on electrical safety awareness, and protective systems such as interlocks, insulation monitoring, and equipment protection mechanism. A key highlight of the program is the demonstration on an actual high voltage vehicle, providing practical exposure to system layout, safety zones, and basic diagnostic considerations. By the end of the program, participants will have enhanced their understanding of high voltage systems, safety practices, and industry-relevant approaches in electric and hybrid vehicles.
2 Day Certificate Programme on “Noise & Vibration Applications in Engineering”
Background Objective
In an era where vehicle refinement defines brand prestige, mastering Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) has evolved from a secondary engineering task to a primary architectural requirement for the automotive
industry. As vehicles transition from mere transportation tools to sophisticated mobile environments, acoustic and tactile comfort, now serve as the definitive benchmarks for perceived build quality and consumer trust. This intensive two-day certificate program offers a high-fidelity roadmap for the modern engineers, addressing the “state-of-the-art” challenges posed by electric and autonomous vehicles, where the elimination of internal combustion masking brings high-frequency motor whine, tyre-road dynamics, and brake squeal into sharp relief. Participants will advance from the fundamental physics of NVH and signal analysis to demonstrations at Anechoic and Reverberation Chambers, including mitigation of Buzz, Squeak, and Rattle (BSR), modeling and simulation principles. By integrating component-level analysis with a deep understanding of global Noise Regulations and Sound Quality Design, this training empowers engineers to transform the silent cabin into a premium, vibration-isolated sanctuary, ensuring that every auditory touchpoint reflects superior engineering precision.
