ARAI Digital Library

ARAI Digital Library, started in 2013, is accessible within the ARAI campuses’
intranet. Over 25,000 documents have been digitized and added till date.
Users can easily search for relevant records using keywords, titles, or authors.

SAE Mobilus

Access is provided on an IP-based system across all ARAI campuses, enabling seamless
exploration of cutting-edge research on vehicle design, propulsion systems, safety,
and emerging technologies such as electric and autonomous vehicles.

BIS Standards

Access to BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) is provided on an IP-based system within
ARAI campuses. These standards cover a wide range of products and services promoting
quality, safety, and reliability in India. ARAI subscribes to BIS standards across
the following departments:

  • CHD – Chemical Department
  • ETD – Electrotechnical Department
  • MED – Mechanical Engineering Department
  • MTD – Metallurgical Engineering Department
  • PCD – Petroleum, Coal and Related Products Department
  • TXD – Textile Department
  • MSD – Management and Systems Department
  • LITD – Electronics and Information Technology Department
  • FAD – Food and Agriculture Department

InterRegs Standards

Access to the InterRegs Standards Database is available within ARAI campuses,
providing comprehensive automotive standards including European Community (EC)
Directives, UNECE regulations, and Global Technical Regulations (GTR).
This database supports research, compliance, and development activities.

One Nation One Subscription (ONOS)

The “One Nation One Subscription” initiative, launched by the Ministry of Education,
aims to democratize access to high-quality research journals through a unified
subscription model. ARAI benefits from this initiative by accessing databases,
for which engineers must register on the portal for secure usage.

Automotive Industry Standards (AIS) are technical specifications developed by ARAI
