Bharat VECTO

  • •Bharat VECTO development project formally launched in auspicious hands of Hon’ble Union Minister Shri. Nitin Gadkari on 17th January 2025 during Bharat Global Mobility Expo, Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
  • •Project kicked off on 19th March 2025 at ARAI in presence of MoRTH, MHI, ARAI, SIAM and OEMs officials.
  • •Consortium formed with participation from MoRTH, BEE, MHI, SIAM, ARAI & OEM
  • •Bharat VECTO Development also started with support of JRC, European Commission
  • •Bharat VECTO Draft Notification is submitted to MoRTH.
  • •Bharat VECTO for diesel vehicles planned to be released by end of December 2026.
  • •Phase-II will focus on EVs range calculations

  • •350 kW dynamometer with all engine data acquisition and control
  • •Mechanical system and engine instrumentation equipment
  • •Consumption equipment and conditioning Systems
  • •Emission measurement system (Pre-post), PM PN, FTIR, H2 analyser
  • •Intake and exhaust Air handling system
  • •H2 storage & distribution
  • •Air Handling & exhaust system – ATEX certified
  • •Test cell air conditioning and HVAC system
  • •Safety requirement for H2 test cell
  • •Hydrogen storage yard

Real Drive Emission Testing

  • • PEMS system compliant to testing vehicles as per following Legislation:

    • ○EU 2016/427, 2016/646 & RDE Package 3 and 4,
    • ○AIS 137 Part 3 and 4, AIS 175 for 4W vehicle having GVW < 3.5T;
    • ○UN-ECE R49 rev. 6, EU 582/2011,
    • ○EU 2016/1718 and EU 2016/1628, 2017/655, as amended by 2018/987, 2022/2387, AIS 137 Part 7 & Amendment 1 for Nonroad Moving Machinery (NRMM).

  • • Module 1 – Raw emission measurement Gas analyser module

    • ○CO: 0-10% ; CO2: 0-20%; NOx: 0-3000 PPM

  • • Module 2 – THC and CH4 Analyzer (HFID)

    • ○0 – 10000 PPM

  • • Module 3 – PN measurement module (PN 23)

    • ○0 – 30000 p/cm³
