Automotive Industry Standards Committee (AISC)
Automotive Industry Standards Committee (AISC) was set up under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules – Technical Standing Committee (CMVR–TSC) by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRT&H) in 1997 to review safety aspects in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of motor vehicles.

The Director, ARAI, serves as the Ex-officio Chairman of AISC. ARAI functions as the Secretariat to AISC, and Mr. Vikram Tandon, Dy. General Manager, serves as the Member Secretary.
