World Environment Day
The World Environment Day 2026 celebrations at ARAI, organized during its prestigious Diamond Jubilee Year, reflected the institute’s unwavering commitment towards sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees through several impactful initiatives promoting environmental conservation, healthy living, and responsible resource management. More than 50 trees were planted across the campus, while 300+ saplings were distributed to encourage greener lifestyles within the community.
The Vrukshathon Half Marathon brought together over 60 employees, promoting both physical fitness and environmental responsibility. Awareness initiatives also received an excellent response, with more than 60 participants taking part in the environmental quiz and 70+ attendees joining the expert webinar focused on sustainable development.
Another significant highlight was the waste collection drive, where over 100 kg of reusable and recyclable materials were collected, reinforcing the importance of responsible waste management and circular resource utilization. Collectively, these initiatives strengthened environmental awareness, encouraged sustainable practices, and reaffirmed ARAI’s vision of building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.
