National Technology Day

We celebrated National Technology Day by listening in to an insightful address by Dr. Abhay Jere. Elaborating on the theme – ‘Responsible Innovation for Inclusive Growth’, Dr. Jere guided us on ways to boost indigenous innovation by encouraging employees to be intrapreneurs for developing new tech. He emphasized that cross-sector learnings, brainstorming sessions and a resilient mindset are important elements in sparking transformative solutions for different problems.

His message for us was to seek out models of innovation beyond conventional frameworks and prioritize tangible outcomes that would take us from a service-based economy to a knowledge- based economy.

By sharing real world case studies of ingenious solutions from engineering as well as non- engineering sectors, Dr. Jere pointed out the importance of a multifaceted approach to problem- solving. He championed celebrating failures, urging us to share those stories to learn from the mistakes.

Dr. Reji Mathai, Director, ARAI reflected on the heritage of National Tech Day and celebrated India’s achievements in technology while outlining an innovative future. The event concluded with a brief vote of thanks by Smt. Ujjwala Karle, Senior Deputy Director, ARAI.

It was an inspiring interaction that has stirred our collective imagination to propel our aspirations towards a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
