Celebrating Auto-PLI Application Milestone!
𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼-𝗣𝗟𝗜 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲!
ARAI is pleased to announce that Shri Kamran Rizvi, Secretary, MHI in presence of
Dr. Hanif Qureshi, IPS, Additional Secretary, MHI and Dr. Reji Mathai,
Director- Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) handed over the PLI
Certificates of ARAI to Ms Suman Mishra, MD & CEO of M/s Mahindra Last Mile
Mobility Ltd., and Mr SUSHANT NAIK, VP & Global Head, Government and Public
Affairs of M/s. Tata Motors Ltd.
This marks the milestone of 100th and 101st ARAI received PLI application, under the
Automobile sector, respectively.
Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Automobile and Auto Component Industry
(Auto-PLI) is a Ministry Of Heavy Industries, Government of India initiative to
promote the manufacturing of Advanced Automotive Technology (AAT) products and
attract investments in the Automotive Sector.
The Scheme has successfully given boost to domestic manufacturing, reduced dependence
on imports, promoted electric and green mobility and created jobs and enhance global
competitiveness.
We thank MHI for curating this visionary Scheme which has strengthened India’s
journey towards Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
Together, lets continue striving for further milestones to position India as a
global leader in the auto industry.
